the connection of license to freedom is, when you have license you can transport freely. like, you can travel around to your place and to other countries and region idlf you have that kind of license they have.
There is no connection between freedom and the licenses sold to us when there is a system of government involved. These are considered privileges by the government, and the only freedoms that citizens have are the ones that they can’t charge with a fee. Licenses are really just revenue collecting schemes approved by politicians to fill their pockets on a regular basis. Remember that most politicians are psychopathic individuals hungry for wealth and power, if that wasn't true, maybe somebody can explain why candidates spend millions to campaign for a position that pays very little salary.
If permits for gun ownership and driver’s licenses were not for revenue collection, then they would not have expiration dates, or at least not within such a short period. A driver and a responsible gun owner is unlikely to unlearn their driving and shooting skills. Just like business permits, and the income tax on top of the taxes placed on the things we buy, they are all means of control over everyone which the public has been misled into believing is necessary, and when someone is in control of an individual, then that somebody is technically not free. You are not free if you need permission to act.
