the holy cross
Cross is the only symbol Christianity Protestants use.
It was evident in our society that there are conflicts and inequality between genders. If it was fifty years ago, women cannot have a job which leads to feminist party fighting for rights. Today, they started to solve this problem like how they try to make the pay wage equal but the discrimination and stereotypes are still there. It was not fair so our aim should be respect to each other' genders. So we should keep talking about it to open many opinions and experiences regarding in solving this issue.
We can say that we have submitted our plans to God when we first open our bodies as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1); die to our own fleshly desires (Galatians 2:20); denying worldly pleasures to follow the will of God (Romans 12:2); and trusting that God's plans will lead us to the right path (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Romans 12: 1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
When we receive Jesus as personal Lord and Savior, we let His Holy Spirit dwell inside of us and because of this we can surrender our bodies as a living sacrifice to God. We allow God to give us counsel and wisdom, give us the right words to say and direct our actions.
Galatians 2: 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
This means that we die to our own fleshly desires because we have already allowed Christ to be inside of us and thus we have faith to follow His leading.
Romans 12: 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
When we submit our plans to God, this means we are not tempted to follow our worldly ambitions and desires, according to human standards because we are now committed to follow the will of God. It is not our will but His will be done.
Proverbs 3: 5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
We put our trust and confidence to God, knowing that He is the author and finisher of our faith. His thoughts and ways are higher so we do not rely on ourselves based on our human intellect. We submit our ways to God allowing His Holy Spirit to lead us to the right path.
Thus, we can say that we have submitted our plans to God when we allow the Holy Spirit to lead and direct us.
